View Full Version : HOW MANY MIX YOUR OWN SEASONING?
How many of you mix your own seasoning? I do. I start with the old standby "JO" and add my secret[grin] ingredients to it
Anyone else?

I don't, but Mary does.[grin]
She starts with her secret ingredients and then adds some Old Bay.[wink]

JO mixed with kosher salt ,corn,crabs and several COLD beers!!

Old Bay on crabs I am going to eat, JO on crabs I am going to pick (but I add Old Bay to any recipe I use the meat for....)

Jerry.......Well,I have Heard how good Mary's seasoning is,never had a chance to see for myself.But I have been saving my money all Winter and have this Top Notch Private Eye lined up........Does anyone have Jerry's address?[grin][smile][grin] [Mike]

I start with a trip to the produce stand at Back River bridge and add my own fixin's, mostly Old Bay.

We've just been using straight JO #2, but might have to doctor it a little this year just to be able to call it our own. I like black pepper a lot and mixing some JO black in sounds pretty good for starters. FJ

I start with my own separate ingredients and blend to perfection. But the ingredients are a secret. [grin] Tried JO #2 but my daughter insists on mine.

you guys with your secret ingredients[sad] what are you going to do, enter the seasoning business and start selling it?
I think at crabfest we should have a seasoning contest, and test everyones "secret" recipe. I will personally donate $100.00 to the winner, on the condition that he/she reveal his/her secret recipe for the world to enjoy.
