Found this poster at a antique store Sat. Was wondering if anyone has seen it or knows anything about it? It is 22"x 28" and down in the lower left corner is says ( Designed and copyright 1987 by Maryland My Maryland, Baltimore. Printed by French/Bray, Inc.). Wonder why they used the picture of a female instead of a male?

Thanks
OC

Sorry didn't do it right again with the picture.

The latin scientific name for a blue crab is" beautiful swimmer". When it is suspended in te water it can swim in any direction. There is a great book "Beautiful Swimmer" written about the crab, it's life cycle, and the history and methods of the Chesapeake watermen who catch them. A very readable book. I have read it three times myself and I cannot say that about any other book. If you enjoy crabs especially in the Bay this is a must read.

Perhaps it is a transvestite crab that likes to paint his fingernails?
