Stopped @ Loch Raven & Northern Pkwy in Balto. today. Guy had approx. 10 bushels, he said from O.C. this morning - had females @ 12, 19 & 29 and males @ 19, 29 & 39. All were heavy. I couldn't wait any longer & got a doz. They're in the steamer now.

hey guys: I just finished them up. They were full & sweet. if you eat the underside of the corner of the shells like i do, it was a little gritty, i guess from being buried all winter. corners were fat though, like it wouldn't be long before their 1st shed.

Shallow water back bay crabs. The comm guys in Chincoteague bay were unloading on April 2. That water warms up quickly. Buy the end of the month the bite will be on for rec guys. Got to get my bull lips soon. Thanks for reminding me.

That guy had been there for at 15 yrs. I buy from him once in a while and his crabs are always good. Think I'll stop by Saturday morning for a few dz.[grin] Thanks for the heads up.

Come on guys, enough already[smile]This weekend is completly full and next weekend doesn't look much better.I'd be driving down to OC if it wasn't for my other duties[sad]. Oh well, it's early and there will be plenty of crabs available this year. I guess I can wait another week or two.
