I am looking to purchase a boat for crabbing and wanted to see if anyone had some pics of how they have their boat setup. I will be crabbing with one and two persons. Mostly interested in the one person method.

No pics, but gunnel mounted stick steering and pulleys works good for solo trips. If Polecat's around he may have pictures of his rig.

...I run a one man operation with my 2180 Carolina skiff with no problems.

I actually run my trotline from a canoe with an electric motor and two batteries. Quite environmentally friendly. :)

I'm selling my boat from last year if anyone is interested. Please pass it along if you know of anyone that is looking for a boat. Check out my ad. Pictures are included.

I have to same boat as Durado and I have crab by myself a lot. When I bought the boat I set it like I wanted it. I put the console 3" off the starboard side and about 3 foot up from te transon and I have my roller mounted to that. Sorry no pic's and even if I did I don't know how to post them. Carolina Skiffs are a great boat to crab out of lots of room.

Hey,here is my boat, not sutup for crabbing yet but I just run a spool off the back for the line to go over.
Bought it in 1985 on the eastern shore for $1000 new ,boat ,motor and trailer, made in the town of Skipton.
