I've got some chicken necks left over from last year and I was wondering if I should use 'em or pitch 'em? I have a 40 pound case left that I never thawed and I assume should be ok, but i've also got some gallon size freezer bags that I can tell have gotten freezer burnt a little. Anybody have an opinion on freezer burnt necks? Thanks, FJ

I always keep bait over the winter and re-use the following year. I would certainly not throw out 40+ lbs of necks.

JIMMY, THOSE NECKS ARE A WASTE OF TIME, CRABS WON'T TOUCH OLD OR FREEZER BURNED BAIT. WHERE DO YOU LIVE, I'LL BE BY TO DISPOSE OF THEM FOR YOU[wink]

Go ahead and use them. Couple of years back I'm glad I had some left over as I started early and could not get bait.

Jamie, Be careful....Alot of chicken farmers are putting high voltage wires arounf their chicken houses to keep crabbers like you out of there. [grin][grin]

That's ok Rod, i'm bullet proof and shock proof when i'm full of beer. Either that or just a drunken idjit like my wife says sometimes! [grin] Seriously though, if you guys have Weis markets down that way, go in and ask the meat manager if he can order cases for you. I'd be interested to know what the supply and demand price difference is. FJ
