View Full Version : Crab Report... Nothing.

Had a few hours this am, launched at Dundee for some LMB fishing. Saw two boats crabbing. one trotline, the other traps. Didn't talk to the trotliners, but the guy with traps actually had a crab. "A" ( one ) crab. average size. Live and kicking. Water temps are flirting around 68-70, but way too early for crabs here.
Fishing Report,
Five fish. All Bass. 4/ 8-10" midget torpedoes. One at 21". Post spawn, but still around 5lb. Spinnerbait over grass.

Thanks for the report Hawg, I was on the Patapsco Saturday and the water temp was around 63 but I did see a Commercal crabber but it did not look like he was picking anything up. We need some warm weather to get these crabs going.

Yup. Agree with everyone. Here are some links to NOAA buoy stations that give real time water temp info. The MD DNR sites are not up to speed.
