A guy in my office wants to go crabbing in Madison Bay or the Little Choptank this weekend. He asked if I had heard any reports from the area. I ya'lls opinions, is it going to be a worthwhile trip or should he bag it for a week or two?

Getting mixed reports from the L.C. Some say they did and are doing well, others are not. Your not gonna find out until you go, as well if you waited a few weeks, it wouldn't hurt either.
Good Luck.[smile]

I drove down from Baltimore Saturday and caught a 1/2 bushel, but all where # 2's, threw back just as many if not more. They where all local brown bellies from the creeks. I hit them in 8 ft of water with the in comming tide.. they did taste great for being small, some were packed some were not! It was worth the drive to have the first crabs of the season.. Make the trip!!!!!

Historically the Little Choptank has been very good from Memorial Day to July 4th. This year things are slow starting all over the bay.
I'm sure crabs can be caught there this weekend, but whether it's worth the trip for the quantity caught is the unknown. I would try it if it was me and I needed a crab fix.[smile]
