Got off work at noon and went over to the Tred Avon today. Got my first trap in the water at 4:45 pm and had a nice bushel with 18 traps in 2 hrs. Needless to say it was a good afternoon. Only had to measure one crab, and he was 5 and a half inches. Had 7 throwbacks and one big female which I let go so she could go
repopulate the bay( I hope ).
Every run was consistent with 4-8 keepers, and 7 feet was THE depth to be in.
I was there 2 weeks ago in the same spot and caught 3 crabs in 2 hrs.What a difference a little summertime heat makes.
Saw lots of grass in the water.
