Capt Dale is healing
He is going back in for more surgery (#12) on Oct 14th,,he still has several more surgeries to go and then lots of rehab to see if he can walk again,,he was very lucky, the docs were able to save his feet,,and hopefully by next summer he will be walking again

Ahoy Mike
I’ve been home for 3 weeks, But went today for OV.
Thought next surgery was set for Monday Oct 17 But was changed today to Monday Oct 24. This will be quite extensive, will bone graft (from hip) to left fibula & tibia near left ankle with plates & pins, also restore broken bones in ankle If all goes as planed this will complete the left leg. Sure will be glad to get rid of the x-fix.
Only have to bone graft right tibia & fibula on right leg remaining large piece was destroyed.
Hope to begin rehap for weight bearing in 4 months
RJ is so right I was very lucky.
