If a charter has four or five people scheduled and the boat can take up to six or more, how often do they allow an extra people (a loner) to come along?

I'm having a heck of a time finding people to go on a gulf stream trip and would be interested if the opurtinity came up around the end of April or in May.

Thanks,

TF

It happens fairly often. They call them make ups. All you have to do is contact the fishing center starting a few days ahead of when you want to go to see if any of the boats have them. It's a roll of the dice as to wether or not you'll get one though.

Don't know weather I am allowed to post this or not???????

I put together make ups from time to time.

Check my noteboard directly:

or go to http://www.fishbiteme.com and click on reports and noteboard.

I have been successful if putting together many groups of idividuals to make up a trip.

also, Hatteras Harbor, the marina where I tie up, puts em together too!

I would put down info about specific trips but I am sure that would get edited!

Capt. Jay,

That's a nice, informative post, responding to the question asked. I don't see any problem with it, and would hope that the "powers that be" also recognize that a response to a question, even if the response has a bit of "advertising", is different than initiating a post just to put up some advertising.

Best wishes for a great charter season.
