Hopefully this will help Captains have a place to post open dates they need to fill if they come open time to time.

Its not the perfect fix, but we are working on some more things, but hopefully this will help for now.

I think you should just give the Licensed Charter Captains who are Commercial Subscribers their OWN FORUM!!! (Charters For Hire)..
No Extra Charge.... They can post their reports, list availabilities, etc...
I think you might be surprised how many might join and become Commercial Subscribers...
Just my humble opinion....

I agree, it would be nice to see them have there own forum. Thats what the bass barn does and seems to work out great. Charters post when they have open boat charters ect.

What would make the Charter Captains Happy???
1. Classifieds add costing them 4% of their charter for posting!
or
2. Free Forum for Commercial Subscriber, Licenced Captains to post their reports and available dates! Moderated to be sure it's not abused!!!

This is not my Forum, and I am not a commercial subscriber, but I think it would make a whole lot of people a lot happier!!!

the 4% was what we asked for other classifeds that sold, it was not intended to be applied to the section we set up for Charter Captains.
I think their own forumn would be good, but then the question is will be people go there so they get eyeballs. So what we are thinking, which has been suggested and actaully something we have been thinking about for a while is that Captains will be able, once we build the system, to post on any board their report pertains to. Just like we have a fishing report filter that members can use, we will give members the ability to show or not show charter captain reports. That way people that want to see them will, and those that do not will not have to. Those that have a commerical subscription will also get a webpage on Tidal Fish where they can post open dates, reports, information about their charter company etc. When they post their report a link will be dynamically generated in their signiture that says what they want it to say, ie I have some open dates, and takes people to their page where viewers can get all the information.
