Started out of Teaches with Marlin Time, Jessy and myself at 6am. Started fishing on the 290 line. First bite around 8 am purple baby islander chain, pink white seawitch, naked. Got all three. Next bite bouble in the boat. fish a little while then we get on bite on the left clip start reeling against fish then start jerking left flat...fish on that one. Pass rod to Marlin Time......fish got off...that is what i get for being greedy and trying to get multiple hook ups. while getting set back up we have long rigger sink down bammm fish on. Marlin time yells MAKO....first thought.....80lb flouro. We cleared everything out of the way. Got one shot at him with the GAFF before he bit off. I cost us that MAKO my leadering needs more work. We go 3 hour nothing fish went down and a few OI charters are picking up singles we didnt get anything tried different things changed baits finally on single on a spreader bar in the shot gun. We start trolling home then we see a fin....... MAKO's 5 of them all over 200lb we circle them bammm shot gun goes down Yummie flyer. clear everything out get ready for MR TEETH get him up and what do we have .....30 lb yellow fin. What a disapointment. Get ready to head home reeling up all the lines last line goes crazy. get the yellow fin to the boat and hook pulls. ended the day with 7 yellow fin. great day on the water.

Well, lets see. I left Annapolis Md, at 4p.m. Wednesday. Arrived in Hatteras at 11:30p.m. (would have gotten there quicker, but got a ticket for going 69 in a 45 coming off the OI bridge). Got to bed around 1:00a.m. after helping 2 buddies drop their boats in at Teach's Lair. Back up at 4:30a.m. Left the dock at 6:00a.m. As Swan said, we had a good day, great crew and calm seas. Got in around 3:30. Cleaned fish and wrapped everything up, back on the road at 5:30. Stopped at Sam and Omies to drop in and see some old friends then headed back off. After a quick drop off to a friend in Oxford Md, I was back in bed in Annap. at 3:00a.m. At the office to meet one of my contracts at 9:00.

I guess I had it bad.
