My Captain is Totally ATE UP!!!!!!

Our Charter got cancled for today

So.....what does my captain sugest we do....????


He asks if I want to go bottom dropping with him on a Head Boat The "Miss Hatteras"

I was like heck yeah!!!!

I couldn't belive it..........A Charter boat captain wanting to go bait dunking.........on his day off.............Jersey is ATE UP!!!!

So....... thats what we did today..........we crushed the trigger fish, caught several black bass, couple of b-liners, sum blue fish and I caught one amberjack. It was another slick calm warm sunny day on the water. I had a blast. Even a few tiger sharkes were caught by other people.

Jersey did catch more meat fish than I did.

But only two or three More.

I didn't count but we had like 30 trigger fish, 3 or 4 black bass, couple b-liners

The triggers were LARGE..........the biggest I've ever caught

Just got done eating some that had be dipped in 350 degree peanut oil!!!

Triggers are some good eating [grin]

Just remember LC, these are some of the best days of your life. When you get my age you will surely look back and say they were the good old days, enjoy. Hope you taking lots of pics and keeping a log... fer da grandchillen.

Yep, Jersey is ate up all right. We went out with him on a make up charter a few years ago, and had no luck at all on the troll, only a few fat alberts. After noon went by, Jersey asked us if we wanted to try some bottom fishing. We said, "Sure, why not". He ran the old Reliance at least an hour South of where we were, stopped, we put the lines in, he said, "you ought to be hooking up any time" and we proceeded to have the best bottom fishing I have ever been a part of. Ended up with over 400# of sea bass, red snappers, beeliners and triggerfish. He came down off the bridge after a while and said "Do you mind if I fish?". He was putting 'em in the box, I'll tell you. A great captain to fish with, we didn't get back to the dock until 5:30.

Sounds like you have the type of boss everyone dreams of having! You be sure to thank him for sharing his knowledge and how to have fun. I 100 percent agree with Turkey Feeder, you are experiencing the best days of your life and do what you need to in order to remember it.

You guys are great. Your boss is great! What a fasinating guy. I loved talking to him while we we out with you earlier this week.

We're packing the gang now to head north to the "real" world. Gotta love spring break in Hatteras. Got a cooler full of frozen tuna for everyone back home.

I'll look you up in late June when we'll be back. Now it's off to going for trophy rock in the upper bay.
