I just purchased some reels that are being spooled with 50lb izor line. I have never used this line before. Is it worth using or should I replace it? The spooling is free so I really dont mind respooling if it is junk.

from what i have heard its the stuff. If its all new line I would leave it on the reels. Alot of people i have talked to have told me it has a higher breaking strength and it dont stretch as much as regular mono. I do know that the line is expensive also. I was going to spool my on reels with this but for now it is not cost effective.

Go with the IZOR line. It's HUGE hit on the west coast. The long range boat fisherman use it over all else.
I love the stuff.

Mono or Spectra?
The mono is very tuff line, but a little thicker then some brands. Spectra is outstanding but only comes in white for many lb tests. Very soft and limp.
