Thats right, We got skunked in Hatteras. We fished the rock pile and to the north and east and couldn't get a sniff. I heard of a scattered bite here and there of tuna and king macks. I think that Jay Kavanagh got into them out deeper, but we could only hear one side of the conversation so he'll have to post the details. The sounder was acting up all day or we would have gane wreck fishing to get the skunk out but no such move was made. Jimmy K, your bar dragged great but there was nobody home where we knocked.
Hatteras is one of those fishing spots where if one thing isn't biting you can always find something else and I believe this is the first time we've been skunked there. Oh well, might as well get it out of our system the first trip. Taz, How did you guys do?

Sorry to hear that...I had a bad feeling when I saw the sat shot after that hard west blow that the fishing would be slow for a bit...
Hopefully the good water will move back in and you guys will get on them.
Sounds like it was nice out there at least.

Sorry to hear that you guys didn't find them but don't feel bad. I'm here in OBX now and from everyone I talked to it was a very slow day due to the water conditions. We had crew scheduled to fish as well but decided not to at the last minute because of the presistant west winds. Instead I decided to seed my lawn. I hope the guys fishing today find them now that the water is starting to come back. I thought real hard about fishing today but am concerned that there hasn't been enough time for the bait to recongregate. It looks like we are going to get a good push of NE wind by the weekend. This should make things right for early next week.
