Bear with me. Took the boat out yesterday to do the break in on the new powerheads. Getting her ready to sell just putting a few hours on it so the buyer can test run it. Running like a champ on plane fast throttle response awesome ride is great.

Enter Tug Boat.

Small wake never slowed down t-top already has a few cracks in the tubing. Hit wake stereo and VHF go off. Check fuses and find melted 25 amp at the battery. Replaced and still nothing.

Scratch watch and wind ass looking around thinking how nice it is out.

Look at top and down tube is completely severed. Wiring for t-top box cut clean in half. Tube is totaled.

Somebody buy this damn boat before I go crazy. Another 5-8k for a new t-top on a boat that I badly want to get rid of.

Any recomendations?

Shoulda called Jimmy and went to HI today as the longer I think about it the more pissed I get.

Figures that you finally get time to run the damn thing and it breaks AGAIN. If it won't for bad luck you wouldn't have any.

Raymond, I suppose this is not the best time to ask if you want to fish the Big Rock together? Sorry about the wo's bud.

Take the top off and sell it naked. I would think no top is better than a busted top.

Take it to a welder, might not be much to fix it.

That's one hell of an advertisement to sell it! If you're not careful, it may be considered a commercial post[grin] One good day of fishing and you'll have forgotten all about the problems - hang in there.

Raymond,

I had a couple of stress cracks forming and took it to a custom hard top... welder and he went in the shop, pulled out a piece of aluminum and after 30 minutes he had cut two gussets, welded them in and painted with aluminum rustoleum and I was out the door. Looked like it was designed that way and has worked great. You may want them to insert a smaller piece of pipe and have them weld it, but am sure that could fix you up.

Had me worried for a minute when I saw your post that the new powerheads had problems. Terron can fix a lot of stuff but I dont think he does tops. Sorry to hear about it. Martin
