Yea, Go down and catch a bunch of them and go to the garden and dig down about a foot and put the carp in the ground and cover it. Then plant some tomato plants over them. Come summer you will get the best tasting tomato you have ever ate.[grin][grin][grin]

Or don’t they say something like...Cook 'em on a cedar shingle (untreated of course!) on the barbeque....When done, throw out the carp and eat the shingle?????
I know someone who cant get enough[grin].

I've been collecting a bunch of carp recipes lately but not yet get beyong the wok stage. Carp are the most eaten, and most important dietary and sustinence fish, in the world. Lots of gourmet recipes for them in Asia; they were even a secret ingredient of Food Network's (Japan sourced) Iron Chef. Lots in the US Midwest still eat a of carp; especially in many parts smoked, as well as immigrants...that's what carp were brought to America to feed...a nation of immigrants but since the 50's refrigeration and ocean harvests have changed Americas diets. Send me your e-mail address and I can make some recommndations on books by the American Fisheries Society (Carp in America) as well as some links. Hope this helps.
BTW...in many urban areas carp are not safe to eat except only in smaller sizes...if at all. Being bottom feeders they soak up a lot of pollutants, like catfish, and in larger sizes can be unpalletable and even deadly, to eat. But then that goes for most fish...depends on its source. Carp from relatively clean waters have a great reputation.
