Will (ruggerdude), Scott (the guy thats a lurker and doesn't post, time to start posting) :D , and me, went to Bimini for a week of fishing with Paul on his boat Deep C. We all had a great time but the fishing didn't want to bite like we wanted them to.
We rised a total of 4 blue ones but none were hooked up, one smashed the bait but still didn't get a hook in him. Was my first time seeing a blue one so it was pretty cool to see. We had 5 whites bites and more up in the spread but never got a solid hook up. On our last day we had one kinda hooked for a quick second but did the head shake. Had 2 sails but neither hooked up. We all caught a lot of cudas. Saw a bunch of skippys and yellow fin on the surface one of the days and I hooked up with on. I have the rod and all of a sudden line is peeling of at a fast past, mr sharky had lunch :D . They didn't stay up for long. We caught one skippy. We caught some cirro macks on the troll. Had a couple of cut offs during the trip maybe wahoos? The last day we fished less then 2 hours before our flight home and was the best 2 hours we had. Had 6 dolphin on the troll and one white in the spread. With a couple of other dolphin bites too. figures fishing picks up when we have to go home. We also did some reef fishing for yellow tails and caught some other fish as well on the reefs as well. I caught some yellow tails but I wanted to catch the AJ had some hooked up on 12# test but broke off. Will caught a nice King on the reef fishing for yellow tails on 12# test. Nice work Will. We all had a great time caught fish but no bill fish but they were there. Capt. Paul and his mate Collin worked hard but it just didn't happen for us. They can't make the fish bite if there not hungry. On the dock we saw some big tarpon and I caught a horse eye jack that gave a good fight. It was great getting to fish with Scott, will, Capt. paul and Collin.
