I must confess Jimmy, I've done that a couple of nights when nobody was around. But I hook up to the dog with about 4 lbs of drag. [grin]

Cute video !!!

Capt. Fred- I do the same with light tackle with my two cats. How do you get the hook out of the dog ? My cats are a pain in the butt to de-hook ! [grin]

Jimmy,

That looks like my house. I have a loft over my living room. Most nights I get home from work and find the desk chair up against the railing of the loft. My boys hang strings with paper clips off the loft. They attach stuffed animals (Yellow Fin, Mahi, Sharks) to the paper clips...and fight like hell.

For fun I sneak up from underneath and pull on the string. They jump through their skin until they figure out it is me....LOL.

When they have other kids over, they say "let's play FISHING." Most kids in the neighborhood look at them like they have two heads....

If you can get your kids to love the things you love, you will have buddies to play with for life!!![excited]

Aren't we all little boys at heart?

Great video. Gotta love that. I am sure he will be fishing with you soon enough. My daughter is always getting into my fishing rods

Computer Question ???

Recently when I've tried to download videos I'm getting an error that my internet download manager trial period has expired & then this add for " Internet Download Manager " pops up for $ 24.95.

Do I need this or is there another way ?

Thanks,
Russ

I can't wait until my son is old enough to do that stuff! He sleeps under a Hawaiian Eye Dredge mobile so maybe he'll feel more like a fish than a fisherman.

A friend of mine's son used to grab his rod anytime there was a hard rain. A small puddle would form unrer one of the trees in his yard and his son would go "fishing" in the puddle.

SSSSSSSSSSSWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT.Let me tell you nothing like a young man wanting to do what his daddy does especially when its the right kinda stuff. My boy is 11 and them mahis were kicking his but last year.I cant wait to get him on a tuna. When he was 3 i took him peir fishing.Cut the hooks off a gotcha let him get right inbetwwen everyone taught how to take his turn casting and how tio allow for the wind so his bait would be right in front of him.By age 4 he was able to fish with the biggest of men and women. We added hooks and started sneeking dead bluefish on that were laying on the deck.I snuck them back over board when he wasnt looking as they were severly dehydrated when we tied them on.He was not happy when his pile was missing.the next one he realed in he stated that he was going to clean it si it wouldnt get away, not thinking i fumbled it back into the water and said he got away.I have never seen a young man more heart broken or a dad (me) do something so stupid it really broke his heart.lesson learned dont hook them on his line unless you are prepared to clean them.Any way he is my mate and my captain with more skills then most adults when he chooses to use them.Cheerish it man because they grow fast and loose the sweetness of youth and become young men very quickly. We have both recently found out he has another little sister on the way with his dad grasping at 40.We will ahve fun together teaching her as well as her older sister who is 5 the ways of the woods and water.sweet video brought back lots of memories.[excited][grin][excited]
