Just got an email from West Marine for a store opening in Gloucester at 1795 George Washington Hwy. Looks like it is right by Jordan Road. The opening is April 16th and 17th. They also included a $10 coupon good for any purchase of $30 or more. If anyone needs a copy of the coupon let me know and I will forward the email to you.

I waited years for a Lowes. Came back from Korea after a year and we got a Lowes and now they throw in a West Marine...life is good. The store is in the first strip mall right after the bridge. Small footprint but well stocked when I stopped in last weekend. Joe

Is that the same shopping center with the cigar shop in it? That little shop is almost woth the drive over, not to mention Carolina BBQ's buffet. [tongue]

Got the same email from Westmarine. Of course, a store in Gloucester is a bit far for me... [smile]
The store is a Westmarine EXPRESS, same as the one just three blocks from my house (and boat) here in the Little Creek area.
They don't have a lot of room, and don't stock all that much stuff. But they may have just what you need to finish a job, and can save some travelling to a bigger marine supply store.
Also, they can order anything that Westmarine carries, as well as special orders. Usually no special shipping cost.
Finally, the usual price matching policy applies. I have bought a lot of stuff from the local WM Express, where the price was matched to an item I printed out from an Internet supplier - just make sure to include the shipping, to be fair.
