Fished the same area as Jimmy with Bill on the billfisher. Went 4 for 7 on 30-35# yft, plus a 6-7# mahi. Nothing at all fast and furious, but had bites about every 45 min or so. Short riggers seemed to get the most bites. Had one double, but the windon cut the leader and we only landed on of the fish. Pink and chrystal were the best colors. 60-80 fa 74deg along the 220. Put in lines around 7 am, pulled em up at 1. Put 3 bowling pin teasers in the prop wash late in the day and had a tuna crash the flat almost on top of the of the teaser 10 minutes after putting them in the water. That was really cool to watch. Fun day. Good company. Good to be out with all the other tfers.

Thanks for posting the report. Based on the other reports we did pretty good. Lots of boat out there would have killed for 7 tuna bites. Just wanted to add that we came into 50 fathoms later in the day and that's were our double header was. Three of the tunas in the box were on the pink/crystal and one was on the bleeding dolphin (lost it later in the day on another tuna). I will try to post the video tonight.

With Video!!!!!!!!!!! Not that great but I am tired. Oh yeah...might be explicit lanaguage. I didn't dub over with music. It's the real deal. Enjoy. And YES....I do know we weren't in Virginia!!!!!!

Bill,

Nice job! Whatever you were doing certainly set you apart from the rest. Slow day for many but you get the high hook for the day. steve

Jay

It seemed quite slow. We were with many charters all day.

No teasers.

nice job guys......i had the bites, just not the hook-ups. still 2 tuna and hoo wasn't too bad. i left from teach's, saw you @ village when i went by. left dock about same time. i started alittle more to the north. sounds like the early bites were south of were i was. didn't have a bite till i got below the 220. still a good day on the water. had a nice grilled tuna dinner tonight.
