The good news is that the dredging in Morehead City went under budget and they were able to divert $500,000 of that to OI. The bad news is they think that will only last another 30 days. I read this today in a local news paper.

WELL HOPEFULLY IN ANOTHER 30 DAYS WE WILL BE PAST THE NOREASTER SEASON AND THEY WILL HAVE MADE US A HOLE PAST THE BAR THAT WILL LAST TILL FALL.

Things are looking up for the inlet. If (a big IF) they can get the money proposed in this article that came out yesterday!

Hey I just sent Dole and Burr an email thanking them for fighting for the OI inlet. I hope others do the same.
I also sent one to President Bush asking for his signature on the funding.
