Bathymetric charts by garmin

Does the bathymetric charts have or show contour line and does it have any depth coverage? Thanks for the info.

yes, they do. shows every fathom from 20 up to 40 (almost too much detail) then it changes to every 5 or 10 up to 100 fathoms, then i forgot what the granularity is.

I don't know about the Garmin software but for Navionics and my POS Lowrance unit I can turn the contour lines on or off or adjust for the level of detail I want in my settings

The only issue I have with the Garmin bathy charts is that you (at least I) sometimes get turned around as to which way the bottom is sloping. There are an incredible number of contour lines, but you have to run the cursor around to see what each line's depth is.

They are a bit of a nightmare to install on a handheld but the charts themselves are excellent.
