View Full Version : Anyone ever visit the IGFA in Fl.
Monday I am in Ft Lauderdale staying across the street from
the Bass Pro and IGFA hall of fame. Is it worth it to go to the Hall of Fame?

If you're taking your wife and have a rainy day, take her to the HUGE outlet mall on the outskirts of Ft. Lauderdale. Sorry, I don't remember the name. You'll earn BIG points and there are a couple of sporting goods outlets you might like as well.

Yes, I was there about 5 weeks ago. Cost is $6 bucks ($5 for seniors). Very interesting. Craige (Mary E) PS Would not give up a fishing day to visit there. Lunch over at Bass Pro overlocking the lake is pretty nice.

I think the name of the outlet mall is Sawgrass Mills?

Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise is the place. Take her to Las Olas Boulevard for further "brownie" points (NOT outlet prices there)......

IGFA is definitely worth a visit if you never been there. The Bass Pro there smokes the ones in Va, Md and NC for offshore selection. Take momma out to Sawgrass and she will even up with you on your Bass Pros expenditures. It is a little bit of a drive out to the mall. There are also a couple of very nice cigar shops near BPS if you're into those. Don't buy the Cubans unless you know what you are looking at, most are fakes. Definitely lots of fun places to see within walking distance of where you are staying. My experience has been the bottom fishing trips down there are terrible though, look else where if you need to scrath your fishing itch.

Oh yeah, if you have a chance to go, do it. I was there about 4 years ago and will go again the next time I'm down that way. The video on hunting blue marlin was awesome.
Take the plastic money for the Bass Pro Shop, it leaves the one in Hampton sucking wind.

A couple years ago we spend 2 weeks with the sister-IN -law in North Maimi. It was Christmas and those two wanted to go shopping. So I had them drop me off thier and I spent 5 hrs walking around, It is a very interasting place to see. Between bass pro and IGFA you will have a good time. The food at Bass Pro is good so stop in for lunch.
