Looking to book a charter in a couple weeks in OC. Is there anything worth fishing then or should I save my money?

I think the charters are allowed 3 bft here soon so certainly it would be worth a charter in a couple weeks. Check out the HOT SPOT/Ken Antkowiak at OC Fishing Center or Reel Fool off this board (Muff Diver).

Like Terp said, charters allowed more than the recs. Anything can happen in couple weeks, the charter capts. work hard to put you on the fish. FrankyPettolina, also on this board, boat name "Last Call".

thanx for the props.
If it were my $$, I would play the waiting game. things have started out so slowly, that it's anyones guess when something else shows up. we are catching bft everyday (when we target them). they have been mostly 27-35 inches. some up to 50 lbs. sharking continues to be very slow. plenty of bluefish. no billfish or yft reported close. one private boat ran 128 miles south of norfolk canyon, missed a white.
when you are looking for a boat, call the marinas or captain directly to get a report & available days. ASK questions. do a search on this board to get a good idea of some misunderstandings that other Tidalfishers have had with boats in the past. you can have a great experience if you are clear of your expectations of what you want & how the captain runs his charter business.
