26 mile hill report

Left late with wife and another couple trying to stay out of the heat. Got to the 26 about 10:00 there were about seven boats already there. We put out 6 rods the usual green with a bird way back 4 sets of cedar plugs and one #2 planner with green 3.5 drone. 3 hours later picked up and headed home. 5 kings and one small bluefin. The thing is we caught everything on the drone /planer rig even the short stikes were on the planer.
Not bad for a short day.

I just talked to a friend of mine that was on the 26 yesterday and today in a grady CC. They got a late start yesterday and ended up with 9 BF and 1 King. 6 of the BF were on a spreader bar with small rainbow squids with a Green Mach. Had 5 BF today on several different baits. He said it was a lot slower today. All the tuna were out of a mold about 25" to 30".
