New years eve BLITZ @ OI

Crew: Scott, Jimmy, Judy, John & me.

Fished down the beach from info that I got from Gene Byrum (thanks Gene). Tons of nice class Blues on the way down. My poor brother sacrificed about $60 in 1 pass so twice we had to pick up & haul a$$. Everything was right at Avon except the fish were not feeding. We just waited it out till the weather really started to get snotty. All the other boats in the area went home & shortly after all hell broke loose. Bee hives erupting all around & all the while steady building seas. Oh well what eles is new. Fish were eating everything & the best depth seemed to be 6-7 fathoms. Caught our limit fast then released that many more & pulled lines at 3:30 to make the long run home to get cleaned up for new years.

Another fun day on the water & a great end to a awesome season. Thanks to all my friends that made 2005 a year to remember!!![excited][excited][excited]

Looks like I missed a good trip! I'm glad you guys got into them, it was a nice "Pre" New Years Trip!!! I'm not sure I've ever seen so many ganets!!!

I'll be ready to get out there again after my boys arm heals... Guess he didn't have such a great New Years [sad]... Keep us in your thoughts and prayers and let's hope for a good follow up report on Friday!!

Also, I had a great time hanging out w/ all of you over the weekend!!! It was a good New Years!!!

Jimmy, It was good seeing you again!!! Tell Judy I said it was nice to meet her and I'm sorry for running off right after I got there... But my boy needed me... She's a Mom, she understands! Tell her to come back again sometime and we'll hang out!

Billy,we had a great time!! you put us in the fish and stuck it out untill we had our fill of big stripers and blues.It was a long ride but worth the extra effort on your part.hope Becky's son heals fast.he sure fished good last year..
