I went to the Mid-Atlantic boat show in Virginia Beach. I have to say it is a small show compared to the last few. I was a bit disappointed.

There is an upside there are some good deals to be had on boats and motors.

Doug Whalen at Whalen's Marine/ Suzuki has some great deals on Engines with 6 year top to bottom warranty. I could not believe the prices he was quoting. Those engines are awesome to say the least.

Troy at Troy Marine has a very good deal on a Prosports Cat 26' that Reese ran as a demo boat and that boat is very well rigged.

I saw a few others and I know the dealers that are there are trying to accomodate those who make an appearance.

I am sure next years show will be a lot bigger, but now's the time to take advantage of some great buys.

I just thought I'd share my opinion. Like I said it's not a big show, but there are some good deals to be had.

Taz,

Extend your service at the show. Their price is $119. I've been told it's going up to $149 after March 1.

I showed up at the show without sufficient funds, no credit card, checkbook, etc. Got home and called Seatow and asked for a renewal. They gave me the $119 deal. So no need to go to the boat show, just call them up and ask to be renewed.
