My luck with getting good weather, fish, and days off not working out so well thus far I have had a lot of time to prep. I think I have been over every rig (which there are way too many) at least four times. Sharpened hooks, and wrapped and re-wrapped each over and over. While doing all this I did learn one simple trick that worksrather well at restoring those older, slightly dingy rubber skirts. I was surprised to find out just how well spraying 409 on them works? It removes most if not all of the rust, dirt and grim and brings them back to new. If you haven't tried it give them a squirt, you might be surprised how nice some of those old lures really look.
If you have any other tricks that help with restoring old gear, keeping it organized, and preping it for the next trip, let's hear it.
