Hit the jackspot for some bait in the morning. Got loads of bluefish and went on passed the fingers and started to shark fish. Caught one small mako and one blueshark and a few bluefish. The drift was great but I knew the ride home would be slow. We put out a full spread and started catching bluefish. So we decided to experiement. Brought everything in except two bars and kicked the speed up to 8.5- 9.0 knots. immediatly got a 40inch bluefin on the squid vicious bar. Kept going in a straight line toward the barn and it put us right on the northeast tip of the jackspot. The Rasta bar got crushed at 9.0 knots with a 44 inch bluefin on top of the spot in 60 ft of water. Kept on headin home but didn't get any other bites. picked up and struggled home from the bassgrounds. great day in spite of sloppy conditions. Had family on the boat today and they were all troopers in the crappy seas.
