Just wanted to let everyone know that we are holding a striper, largemouth bass, catfish and crab tournament on the Upper bay at the Chesapeake City River Basin on October 21st. Advertisements will be going out soon. The first prize for the heaviest rockfish will be $4,000.00. Second and third place rockfish will win $2,400 and $1,600, respectively.
Cost is only $100.00 PER BOAT. Based on 250 boats:
13. There will be a $3,000.00 award for the heaviest largemouth bass. Second and third place will win $1,800 and $1,200, respectively. Only one largemouth bass from a boat will be accepted for weigh in.
14. There will be a $500.00 award for the largest live hard crab as determined by length of the shell from point to point and measured over the top of the shell. Winner takes all.
15. There will be a $500.00 award for the heaviest catfish. Winner takes all.
Rules and Regs and signup will start in a couple of weeks and registratino packets will be available at Sarges Bait and Tackle on Rt. 213.
Hope to get a big turnout for this event! Party at the Bayard House with music after the weigh-in at 4pm.
This is also tax deductable since it is a non-profit tournament for the Generation Station Youth Program.
