I hate it when you have a hard time stopping the fish from 'chewing on the boat.'

When it starts chewing on the boat the 16 wt gets put away and the 20 gauge comes out. More of a fair fight.

Landed in 40 minutes... that is one heck of an angler/captain duo. Big ups to both of them. Must have been one heck of a wild ride.

'According to Mason, it took dozens of casts, accompanied by teases with a mackerel head on a spincasting rod, to prompt the right fly take - one where the fish ate the fly at an angle that minimized the risk of it jumping into the boat.'

I hate it when that happens!!!!!!

20 gauge for prop eating... Oh damn....don't shoot the fish inside of the boat... I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS..... [grin]

I love that shark catching story... I have caught a few on fly and spin...BUT no where near that size... WOW and WOW again.
