sandbridge Sunday

fished (kind of) at sandbridge on Sunday.
I saw fish breaking the surface as soon as i got down to the beach, turned out to be small blues, got four in about 10 minutes on hopkins then IT happened. 'IT' was two estimated 200-250 pound ghost white male slobs that were obviously from ohio or somewhere. They decided that I shouldn't be fishing near them or any other beach goers and decided to verbally attack me and my wife and create a scene in front of all the beach goers. Because I am a nice decent person I only had two things to say one is that I'm allowed to fish were I was and if they had a problem to please call the police to work it out. I'm sorry but I cannot stand to see some jerk act like they own the beach because they dropped $2,500 on a weekly rental. If I had listened to all the crap tourist have said to me over the years!!! My family built our cottge at sandbridge in 1975 and it has never been rented a single time, every weekend is a family event, and I hate to see some fat pig trying to spoil it. to make a long story I told him to call the cops about 20 times (every time he opened his mouth). I don't know why but he kept calling me a Jr. Republican and a George Bush lover ???? Then at the end of his tyraid he shouted 'white power' in front of several black families and black children. Keep in mind that I am white and so was he, well none of what he said really made sence. really put a damper on my day at the beach. oh well it happens once just about every year. its funny because sandbridge used to be where locals went to escape from the tourist at the strip, now I'm thinkin I need a new place to escape to.
