Fished the Second Annual Marlin Club Childrens Classic on Saturday and Sunday with two 9 year old boys and a 7 year old girl and it was a blast! Took the kids bottom fishing on the '2FAROUT!' the first day and caught a mixed bag of crabs, croaker, spot, flounder, bluefish, blowfish, skates, seabass, sea robbin, and an Angel shark. Went to the weighins with a huge 15 1/2' flounder, a couple of small croaker and two spot. We took 2nd and 3rd place in the spot division. The scond day we trolled the Jack Spot all day on the 'REEL FANTASY'. We caught a dozen or so large bluefish, a 9 pound dolphin which was in third place til the last minute and released a 40+ inch Bluefin. The kids had a blast and I think we have them hooked on fishing offshore! The proceeds from the tounament go to the Wish-A-Fish organization. If you get the chance you should try this one next year!!!
