E-bay creek - Loads of Females !

Set 1200' with Neighbor Dave at start time today in 8-13' of water near the mouth of the creek, hoping the females had made their way out already... NOPE !
Oprahs GALORE ! Eventually dragged it up to 4' & 5' and didn't do any better finding the males.

First run, 1 doz. females, 0 males ! Ratio improved as the day went on, but still about 4 to 1 when finished. Ended with 1 1/4 bush. , Picked up at 8:30am. Asked a rec. who was working the head of the creek on the way in and he was doing decent with ALL males. Guess I know where I'll be on Sunday.

Sounds like exactly what I did this past Monday morning. Started at 6:30 til 9:00 with 2 doz males and about a bushel females. I moved to get away from em but it didn't help much. Not too good. Sorry to hear it hasn't changed much.

I did not sleep in on Sunday...Anyway.

Crabbed the same creek in 4-9' of water with Catch22. 1200 Ft Snood line from start time until about 9:30 or so. 9' not producing, drug line into all 4-6' where we did our best. Each run 6 to 12 keepers until we stopped. 1 1/4 bushel, only one female. Crabs looked a little disapointing for late september as far as the darkies go but I would estimate 2/3 were number 1's.

Glad you gottem. AS far as the crab quality/size, I too am a little disappointed. Maybe this upcoming cool snap will throw things into real Fall Mode.
The crabs I am getting are very full, but I am not getting size.
I guess size does matter!
