Fishing the Thames and around Fishers Island?

Is it worth trying to fish around Fishers Island and also in the Thames River?

Absolutely. Some of the best fishing on the East Coast occurs in both locations. The tog fishing around Fisher's Island is very good in the Fall and for a brief window during the Springtime. The Thames has an incredible winter striper fishery from November through March. Most fish will be schoolies but you'll find action when most anglers stay at home and suffer from cabin fever.
