Got back from Venezuela last night. The fishing is good. Lots of whites and sails. Good numbers of blues and a fair amount of swords and spearfish being caught. Out of about a dozen boats, there was at least one double slam each day. I didn't see any super or fantasy slams while I was there but there were some boats that would come in with a sword and a bunch of whites and sails or a spearfish plus the whites and sails.

This time we stayed at Mango Marina:

Last year it was at Marina Portifino. They will meet you at the airport and take you there. Once there, you are behind walls in your own little world. There were no troubles while we were there. We are headed back in a month to do some more science and filming for Guy Harvey's show.

I gave up fishing in Venezuela long ago. The Latinas are so hot, I never made it out on the water. The fishing is nuts though.

Looks awesome guys. Keep them around for me. I'll be there in two weeks fishing with Butch Cox on the Prime Time.

One of those flag photos is of the Prime Time. They are the one with 2 blues, 5 whites, and 4 sails: double slam.

Captain Jimmy Grant is booked all of Sept and Oct. If you want to go after that email Jimmy at captjimmygrant@hotmail.com and you can go direct to him and stay at MANGO (where the boat is) and save some $$. That is the boat WATERMAN that you see in the photos. He is somewhere over 175 blue marlins and well over 1000 whites and sails for the year. If you have any questions bmail me.
