Got to WP light at 7 am - lots of surface action and birds. Caught some rockfish but couldn't break the 17 1/2' mark on the stick. Of course, with best boat position all morning I got a terrible knot in the flyline - took a solid 10 minutes to untangle and the whole time fish were smacking the top within 10 of the boat - what a nightmare that was. Caught lots of blues up top and also dug some decent bluefish from down deep over the dropoff in 20' - 25' water. Caught some decent rockfish at Mosquito Point later in the morning. Beautiful day on the water.
Pink and white clouser - but I think anything would have caught them this morning.
