Weekend No. 2 of the Northern Neck Anglers Club Bonus Rockfish Tournament had the following unofficial (one low traffic marina report not yet received) results.

Saturday was a no fish day because of a Small Craft Advisory in the fishing area.

Sunday was a fish day. These are the projected winners:

1st place - Don Abernathy - Mechanicsville, VA - 25# 0oz. Winners plaque and gift certificate from Surfside Bait & Tackle.

2nd place - Michael Thomas - Ruther Glen, VA - 21# 2oz. Gift certificate from Surfside Bait & Tackle.

3rd place - Marty Jewell - Mechanicsville, VA - 21# 0oz. Gift certificate from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Congratulations to the winners for this weekend.

Next weekend, Nov. 25 & 26 is weekend no. 3 of this tournament. Good luck to all who pareticipate. Dave

Congratulations on the big fish, guys. I had a very enjoyable day on Sunday with Capt. Dave and two other NNAC members as we caught some 60-70 fish by chumming at the NN Reef. But I think it is time we get out the heavy duty trolling gear if we want to have any chance to compete.
How about the winners telling us where they caught their fish and on what lures and at what depth? I don't think we will get to do any fishing due to the Northeaster until the weekend. I am hoping to hear that the winning fish were caught in different areas, which might indicate a lot of fish in the Bay this year.

You were with Capt Dave and did not win. He almost always knows where the "fish are".

Hey Don, how did it feel to beat out Marty for a change? ;)

Good job there buddy. We chased them down to the top of the Cut on Sat. for the CNR tourney but only got throw backs. Went to the reef to live line on Sun and it was a blast.

Marty And I Have A On Going Battle He Wants A Cut Of The Prize Now He Did Pick Up A Fish At Location First And Told Me To Drop In Behind Him And I Did Much To My Delight Its To Bad He Did Not Have The Right Bait On To Catch The Big One The War Goes On:)
