Hey y'all

I haven't been surf fishing since i was a kid and can't wait to sit on the beach with a rod. That being said, I would like to actually catch something if possible. Should i be using bottom rigs with cut bunker and/or peeler crab or clam? Or should i be using buck tails with sassy shads if i want to catch stripers or drum?

I'm looking for an open spot for the Poor Girls Open.

I am looking for a mate job or just to learn more about being a first mate. I have been a mate for a couple of boats out of big pine key mostly for dolphin tournaments. Any response would be greatful. Willing to do whatever it takes. The water is my home.

I chartered a fishing trip with the Tattuna last year in Oregon Inlet NC. I haven't been able to contact the guy this year. When I asked around Oregon Inlet, a guy told me the boat was repossessed. Can anyone recommend another charter.
