Cobia Fishing Report Chesapeake Bay Virginia Beach Cobia Fishing Report
Happy Friday! I do not know what fishing infested area you are reading this from today, but I writing you from the tropics of Maryland's eastern shore and it feels more like the Bahamas with the 100+ heat index. I hope you have some cooler weather where you are, if not I at least hope you are catching some fish to take your mind off the heat.

Today's news comes in from Virginia's Chesapeake Bay where the hot weather has brought a hot cobia bite! Some good fishing reports have been showing up on the Virginia Fishing Forum. Tidal Fisher Entourage and his wife manged to put a hurting on a few cobia after
a bunch that they saw early in the trip teased them for most of the day.

Entourage reported, "With the weather looking so good for today I talked my wife into taking off of work at ten and heading out to do some cobia fishing. We got out to york spit area at 11:30 and needless to say there were fish everywhere for the first 2 1/2 hours. My wife is way out of practice throwing eels and hogys so most of the fish were a bust do to bad casts. It is frustrating watching all those fish swim off but at least it all came together when it mattered most. Most of the 30 plus fish we saw had lock jaw and were rats. but the last bit of our trip we found a nice pair and they were hungry. After a perfect cast with my smith kgs 70 mh (i love this rod)the bigger fish ate a 14" plastic eel like/ hogy looking lure. She did a great job fighting it and rigging eels too. She got her fish (50 ")and had a blast casting and hunting mr. brown today. Check the full cobia fishing report for more of their cobia pictures by clicking here.
