No need to tell DNR about the locations caught off the Potomac tributarys. They know they are everywhere. If they could do something about it they already would have. It's sad if you think about it. I hope they just find their place in the ecosystem.
they know they are everywhere cause they put them everywhere

This past week Va. raided an asian food market that kept life fish in tanks. My guess is they were the source. DNR can't do a thing. Maybe introducing a tanker truck of mature Northern Pike or other predator into the Potomac would keep the snakeheads at bay.

Put a large cooler of ice at each launch ramp on the Potomac. Bass and other fishermen catch snakeheads and must kill them. If the coolers were available, they could drop the snakeheads in alive, and our Asian friends could then kill them before taking the meat home. I personally hate killing anything, and snakeheads are very hard to kill without beheading them. Pulling their gills out kills them, but slowly, I'm just not into that, plus it is a waste of a resource, even one that is unwelcome.
