I'm heading up to the Woods hole area July 8-12 with my uncle and cousins but won't have my boat with me to get out fishing anywhere but from shore. I'm not quite sure where in the area I'll actually have access to but I want to be able to take my little niece (ok she's 12 but still little to me) and my nephew fishing.

So my questions are what kind of fish are present during that time? Are there places I can get to decent fishing with kid castable areas (decent footing, little hangup potential, and a likelihood to catch something even if it's 5 inches within 20-30 yards of the shore)? Can I keep it simple with rigging (just a couple top and bottom rigs with some gulp baits, or a slip sinker rig on the bottom, or just simple jigs or lures) so I can limit the gear I need to bring with me since I'll be traveling up there with minimal room in the truck.

And are there any fun fish that can be fun for me as well aside from Striper (I can get those in the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River whenever I want)... I'm thinking big Bluefish, Shark, Tuna, or something else big from shore.
