Lost $ on this one especially after losing 25ft of 5/16 chain & about 100ft out of 200ft of 5/8ths 3 strand anchor line. all of which were literally one day old! Chain must of got caught in the wreck cause I almost broke my pulpit when the new 5/8 line snapped. That's life. Don't care, went fishing! Had a nice mess of seabass,60 or so up to about 4 lbs but, not the class of fish we had to throw back on April 28th 100 times. IMO forget the squid & bring a bucket full of fiddler crabs & a. you will catch big seabass (my fish box had 15-20 crabs in it that the bass had spit up. they were red & about the size of a half dollar.) and b. you will probably put a cit. tog under your belt to boot.
ps- called the vmrc & without a pic they couldn't tell me what kind of crabs they were.

Wow what a day we fished down south. We left early we made a good call first thing and got in the meat. We had the best class of fish ive ever seen. Mike and Brian got to catch there biggest cobia to date 81lber and 62lber. Throughtout the day we smoked them prob 20-25 total and released some over 55-60lbs. We kept 8 fish (NC 4 man limit) we weighed in a Teaches and had 81,73,70,65,62 and the rest where over 55 lbs !
Call today And book your Cobia trip! The Cobia and Flounder will be strong in the bay any week now!
