Default What's for dinner Christmas Eve?

All the time spent baby sitting peelers over the summer months will allow our family to enjoy as many soft shelled crabs as we can devour.
Of course many other crab related delicacies will adorn the menu as well.

    Happy Holidays to all!

Nice Rock! Stuff with crabmeat and bake. Eat for days. Leftovers make great fish salad, omlets, even good in a sandwich with mayo, LT and spinkled with some OB.

    Outta OC? CBBT?

Early Christmas Eve Church service at 5pm with boys in it.
Made 7pm reservations at Pirates Cove. Not my choice but it is 2 miles from home, the wife is ok with it and the food is well up one visit down the next IMHO. They are setting up a special menu. Hope this time it will be an up night! As long as the boys and Cheryl are happy, I am happy. Go home, get properly toasted with Christmas Cheer, break out remaining gifts after the boys go to sleep. Play with Ms Claus, then night night.

Christmas Day will be at home with lobster, shrimp,Alaskan Crab Legs, Filets on the grill, yatta. Nothin big.

Hittin the folks over on the Miles on Saturday 12-23 so we can stay off the road and be at home this year.

    All works for me!

    Merry Happy to all!

    What are you doin?

    :)

After the several crab feasts we had this summer, I would take the leftover claws and crack the top half. I vacuum sealed and froze close to 200 cracked crab claws. They were tested yesterday for edibility and were delicioso!!!! So they will be arranged and served with hot butter, and/or cocktail sauce... Our Chrsitmas Eve dinner consists of a buffett of finger foods, as opposed to a sit down meal..

    Other Menu Items include:

My Mothers Crab Tarts...OH MY GOD!!!! are they ever good
Fresh Oysters (raw, steamed, and rockefellered)
Venison Tenderloin cutlets wrapped in bacon
    Quartered Quail grilled
Roast Bear...Donated by a friend who hunts in PA ( can't wait to try this one)
    Crab Balls
    Steamed Shrimp
    Cream of Crab Soup
    Oyster Stew
and an assortment of Cheeses, vegetable platters, yada..yada..yada...(All this stuff bores me)

I think my spare tire, just turned into a float tube :o
