    Question Online Charts: Eastern Shore??

Just got a skiff for my boys for Christmas and I want to put them on some flounder in the spring. Since it's so windy, thought it might be a good day to check out if any TFers new of some online charts of the Eastern Shore flats out of Wachapreague and other areas. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

LOL, good luck. I think NOAA gave up on that area a long time ago.

This is a lot of charts. You might can use something on it. IT goes back pretty far. I like seeing how map tech has changed. Going from a 1973 map to a 1993 map is amazing.

I used to run the area nearly everyday while in the USCG. The best advice I can give you is to watch the tide chart and go out on the lowest tide possible... You will quickly see where not to go. Remember to not go exploring on a falling tide unless you are willing to sit aground until the tide refloats you 6+ hours later. Unfotunately I speak from experience. The charts for the area will not show the best spots for flounder, they just dont show enough detail. The spots I found that hold the biggest flounder are usually in the holes dug out by the current. Look for the ones to the side of the main channels.
    Good Luck.
