Thread: Freeze Tonight

    Default Freeze Tonight

Tonight is going to be cold, a low of 27. Probably not a hard freeze, but might want to make sure outboard engines are lowered, a little heat in the bilge, some antifreeze in the fresh water lines, or whatever your method you use for us year round boaters who don't fully winterize and put our boats away for the winter.

Maybe it will get some of the stripers moving out of the bay, but it's going to warm up again by the weekend.

    Thumbs up

Drained my block and manifold when I got home today (saltwater cooled). I'll start it back up tomorrow to fill her back up and keep the rust at bay.

If it is not a hard freeze I simply put a couple of light bulbs in the engine comparment. On nights where it gets below freezing for just a couple of hours is not enough to freeze anything solid.
