Crabbing Video

Is anyone interested in a new crabbing video? I'm thinking of having one produced this year with the help of some very talented friends. Any ideas on what you want to see? Trotlining, chicken necking, toppless traps, equipment and some good video of all of that?

Well, just off the top of my head, a few thong clad ladies using the said trot line, topless traps etc, might be good blood pressure medicine for some of us old coots. Just a thought,:) T.

especially if they are picking up traps on a boat with a very high gunwale.




Trotline rigging tips on chain lengths, rope lengths from float to chain, snood assembly demonstrations and material tips, various "propostick" assemblies (Some real beauties have been shown here), slow motion dipping footage from a snood line. Various ways to attach bait to a line, different knots.

Underwater footage of crabs riding up a trotline prior to being dipped or better yet while being dipped would be great!!!

may as well show some tips on cooking/steaming em,i mean the crabs! perhaps that ice pick trick. and for fun how to pick up a live crab,show this before talking about having long crab tongs .

rrr your jobs to produced the video of how to dip a trot line from lazyboy recliner on your boat. do the leg rest arm ever get in way of dipping and do you rec. a swivel or hard mount?

I think the best way for everyone to contribute and be in the video would be for me to interview each persons particular knowledge. I would love to see a video that had a cast of "characters" that were experts in different things. I'm going to start putting this thing down on paper so it can be produced this year. I'm going to fund it out of my own pocket and have it distributed on DVD all over if it turns out the way I want it. I would love to have local knowledge drive this thing.
