NNAC March 10th Meeting

The Northern Neck Anglers Club's March 10th meeting will be at the Kilmarnock library at 7:00pm. We will go over the Sport Fishing Seminar arrangements and have two speakers. Their subjects will be on getting ready for the 2007 season.

Capt. Bob Reed will talk about fishing for the spring trophy Rockfish in the area above the VA/MD line where we have found some great fishing in the past. Bob will have a supply of his great Bob-A-Long tackle products for sale.

Mr. Mike Hanson from Aqua Clear Tackle will be there too. Mike will introduce us to his novel new 'never tangle' bottom rigs. You can see the product description on his web site at www.aquacleartackle.com. Mike will have sample for members to try and some to buy.

This will be our kick off meeting and I hope to see many of you there. Dave

With the Temps outside it hard to believe that the farmer will be planting corn in 6 wks. Looking forward to getting back on the water now that hunting season is over.

Today the Northern Neck Anglers Club reached a new mile stone. There are now 200 members on the roster. We also know of several more prospective members.

About 3 1/2 years ago the Club was just an idea. Three years ago it was a fledgling organization with less than 50 members. It started the first year with a five Saturday tournament schedule. My how it has grown.

For 2007 there will be a Trophy Rockfish Team tournament, six weekend tournaments, a month long tournament, a special new winner's award (prior winners are excluded), four special Bounty Fish awards, and a Sport Fishing Seminar that will be SOLD OUT in a couple more weeks. Then in addition there will be a big members and guests picnic and several members meetings with guest speakers.

A lot of the credit goes to our tournament sponsors who have donated the awards and the cooperating weigh-in marinas who have helped us along the way. To them we give our thanks.
