    Default frogmore stew

    never made this but got it from a friend and he said it is killer. just look at the ingredients - gotta be good.

    Frogmore stew

    Servers 6

    3 lbs. Kielbasa, cut in large chunks
    6 ears corn, broken in half
    12 small red potatoes
    3 lbs. Large shrimp, headed shells on
    2 lemons, cut in half
    3 large onions, cut in large chunks
    1 bottle beer

    old bay seasoning
    red pepper flakes
    salt and pepper


    bring water and beer to a boil with onion, squeezed lemons and seasonings to taste. Add kielbasa and simmer for about 30 mins; add potatoes; cook 15 more minutes; add corn and cook 8 minutes; add shrimp and cook 2 minutes and turn off heat. Drain well, pour seasoning over food and dump into a large bowl.

    This is an old lowcountry (South Carolina) recipe.
